The deep south of Egypt is the area south of Marsa Alam until the Sudanese border.

This area offers world class diving, a gooddive tip!

This region is far away from the population and for this reason very virgin.

The St. Johns reefs offer wall dives with encounters of up to 5 different kinds of sharks in the same dive. Best time for sharks is end of Spring! A gooddive tip!

Rocky Island
One of the world's top dive sites, a gooddive tip!
Only reachable by liveaboard boats. This abrupt reef comes from the 600m deep bottom of the Red Sea  and is located about 60 sea miles from the Egyptian shore. Very good spot for pelagic fishes. Don't forget to look in the blue and up, even Mako sharks can be see there.
For experienced divers only!

Zabargad Island
Three sea miles north of Rocky island this spot offers similar conditions to Rocky island, big chance to meet mantas!

The coast of the deep south has a lot of very nice dive spots and there are still huge areas waiting to be discovered.

Some powerful liveaboard boats like La Signora can visit all the best dive sites of the deep south in one week including Zabargad; Rocky Isl. St. Johns and even Deadalus from Marsa Alam area.
