Vandenberg Sink Date
Has Been Postponed
The new date will be announced shortly.
KEY WEST, Florida Keys
-- Artificial reef project organizers coordinating the cleanup
and sinking of a former United States Air Force missile tracking
ship off Key West, Fla., announced a postponement of the
scheduled scuttling date Tuesday.
The 524-foot Hoyt S. Vandenberg will not sink May 15 as
originally hoped for, said Joe Weatherby of Reefmakers. A new
date will be announced in the future, he said.
Many people are planning to travel to Key West for the
sinking," Weatherby said. "We want to ensure they
understand the ship will not sink May 15."
The ship is destined to be sunk about six miles south of Key
West, in 140 feet of water in the Florida Keys National Marine
Sanctuary.

This will give a lot of new diver friends on the diving boats if

Marine
Conservation |
Warming trends in a third of
the world's large ocean regions are two to four times greater
than previously reported averages, increasing the risk to marine
life and fisheries, a U.N.-backed environmental study said.
Over fishing, coastal pollution and degradation of water quality
were common in all 64 large marine ecosystems studied by
scientists who contributed to the U.N. Environmental Program
report presented at an international conference on oceans,
coasts and islands in Vietnam this week.

Every month we present a few
tips to help you increase your sales using the scuba diving portal.
One month ago GoodDive launched
its forum dedicated to scuba diving. It's not just one more forum out
there, it has quite some unique features. It's the first forum available
on the net where divers can ask an instructor. It's also the first forum
giving the opportunity for dive professionals, dive instructors, diving
schools, travel agents to use it as a tool in acquiring new customers.
It's a great tool to get and give advice and exchange experiences.
Instructors, dive schools, dive centers and anyone having instructors
has the possibility of contacting the forum administrator to be able to
give advice in the "ask the instructor forum". It's a great
opportunity to show your expertise and skills.
A visitor asking a question about a certain diving course or skill will
get professional advice. If you give good clear advice he will probably
want to do his next course with you. But not only him, this question
will be read by thousands of other users.
Same for somebody asking questions about diving in your area. If
you give a professional and pleasant reply he will probably come and
dive with you. Don't forget, a
question is initiated by one person but thousands will read it. This is
a great tool for your marketing. The forum has a support area called
"professional diving business support". Don't hesitate to ask
any questions on how to improve your income using this tool. The
professional internet marketer who brought GoodDive to its
leading position can give you advice about internet marketing.
To take advantage of the forum and gain new customers
register in the GoodDive.com scuba diving forum, fill your profile and
contact the administrator to become an approved instructor or
professional in order to be able to interact in the "ask the
instructor forum".
