Cuba diving

Cuba diving offers a large variety of very different kinds of dives in deep water, fresh water, caves and the authentic wrecks from the Spanish-American war. You can also see silky sharks and whale sharks.

Average air temperature during the year: between 22°c and 28°c
Average water temperature: The warm transparent waters vary between 23° and 30° and horizontal visibility is up to 30 m

Best time to dive: For the South and West Coast from November to April and North Coast from May to September

Diving Highlights: Isla de la Juventud is more for the experienced diving, as the dives there are deep and the commutes long. Maria la Gorda and the Bay of Pigs are excellent for those interested in combining nature hikes with scuba diving. Most Bay of Pigs dives are beach dives. Santiago de Cuba is the best place to dive on authentic wrecks from Spanish-American war. In Varadero you can dive in freshwater caves.
