Cods, mauri wrasse, coral trout and manta ray are some of the marine lives that inhabit this area.

Blue Pearl Bay located in Hayman Island. It is one of the frequently dived spots in Whitsundays. Due to its location it is protected from the frequent South East Winds and provided with the cleaner water comes with the tide. Its bottom is covered with colorful corals and home to many kinds of fish including cods, parrot fish, giant mauri wrasse and many other kinds of reef fish. The site is at a depth of 65 feet (20 meters).
Mantaray Bay is at a depth range of 65 feet (20 meters). This small dive site is located in Hook Island, and is considered one of the best dive sites in the area. Many kinds of aqua life inhabit this beautiful site including mauri wrasse, small schools of fish and manta ray.
Oublier Reef it is at a depth ranging from 0 to 229 feet (0 to 70 meters). The site consists of huge walls and deep and shallow parts with many pieces of plate coral.
Mackerel Bay is located near Hook Island. It is at a depth range of 49 feet (15 meters). It is a beautiful spot with beautiful coral formations that are not far from the surface. The marine life in this area is varied, and the visibility is great. This site suits both snorkelers and dives.
Black Island is a small dive site at a depth of 32 feet (10 meters). It is a fully protected site with walls of colorful coral formations and many kinds of marine life.
Cataran Bay is part of Border Island. This spot suits snorkelers and beginner divers; it is at a depth of 114 feet (35 meters). This site has some beautiful formations including canyons, caves, overhanging ledges and coral built walls. You will find many kinds of aqua life like trouts, cods and many other interesting marine lives.
Luncheon Bay located in Hook Island. It is one of the most frequently visited dive sites. It is at a depth of 65 feet (20 meters). Its fresh clear water and beautiful sandy bottom is great for snorkelers and beginner divers as well. It is home to manta rays and wrasse.
Wood Pile is a great dive site at a depth of 82 feet (25 meters). The rocky structure in this spot is worth seeing and great to be photographed. The site has some beautiful coral formations ledges and caves which are home to many kinds of marine life.
